Erica McDowell, Owner of SKYN Lounge®, has been in the skincare industry for 30 years. She is a licensed aesthetician and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville. She has written numerous articles and has been featured in The Courier Journal, The Voice Tribune, nFocus Magazine, Today’s Woman Magazine, Kentucky Monthly, Her Scene Magazine, Skin INC., and Kentucky Healthy Woman.
Courtney L., Licensed Aesthetician - Courtney has been a Licensed Aesthetician for 10 years. She holds over 20 certifications in both medical and non-medical skin care services and treatments. Her specialty services include chemical peels, microneedling and utilizing medical grade skin care products. Her favorite lines are Neocutis and ZO Skin Health!
Michelle P., Licensed Aesthetician - Michelle has been a licensed skin care specialist for 9 years. She has a passion for the beauty industry that started as a child and has grown tremendously over the years. Her favorite services are dermaplaning and eye brow waxing. In free time Michelle enjoys walking around the Highlands and spending time with her fur babies.
Sabrina L., Licensed Aesthetician - From California to Texas and now in Kentucky, Sabrina is from all over and loves to call Louisville home! Her journey in aesthetics began with a fascination for skincare and a desire to help others feel confident in their skin. Whether it's addressing acne concerns, providing anti-aging solutions, or simply indulging in a relaxing facial, she is dedicated to customizing treatments to suit each individual's unique needs.

Kelly I., Licensed Aesthetician - Kelly has worked in the skin care industry for over 20 years! She received her Aesthetics License in 2018 and loves all the challenges of skin care. Kelly holds many certifications including Microneedling and Dermaplaning. Receiving a monthly treatment by Kelly is extremely rewarding as she carefully customizes each individual service to meet the clients goals.
Michael Hughes, MD - Dr. Hughes was born in Columbus, OH and grew up in Annapolis, MD. He went to college and medical school at Wake Forest University. He trained in surgery at the University of Virginia and then transplant surgery at the University of Minnesota. He came to Louisville in 2010 as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Louisville and was promoted to Associate Professor. He co-founded Koligo Therapeutics, which has been acquired by Orgenesis (ORGS on NASDAQ). He then left UofL in 2019 to create Vanguard Surgical, where he cares for and performs surgery on patients from all over the region with gastroparesis and chronic pancreatitis.
